The children from Injabula were very excited when we arrived at the start of the trail. It was difficult to keep up with them. After Otti explained to them why the Crofton weed is bad for our rivers, they started eagerly pulling out the weeds. Although it was freezing, they did not think anything about jumping into the water to pull out weeds. We had a lot of fun, especially when everyone had to jump over a stream of water and some of them got really soaked.
After an hour, I could see they were getting restless, so we hiked to the top. They were still full of energy and then they decided to have a concert in the mountains. I could not stop laughing.
It was the first time that they had the opportunity to experience our pristine kloofs and they could not stop asking me when they can go again.
